This is the old "stomping grounds" of the Dixie Mafia, also known as the Dixie Mob, the Southern Mob, or Southern Mafia - an American criminal organization. At one time, Biloxi was a hot spot for gangsters and many illegal activities, including gambling. Since the turn of the century, Biloxi has been known for its white sand beaches, tourism, and 8 casinos. It is also home to the Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi Lighthouse, several fun tourist activities and the Beauvoir estate /Jefferson Davis Presidential Library but with a population of over 46,000 and this is not just a vacation hot spot but a favorite city among locals. On a night out in Biloxi, you'll find locals from all over the Gulf Coast, New Orleans, Mobile, and even cities like Atlanta that are a quick-hour flight to Biloxi.

Cruisin’ the Coast Annual Event
“America’s Largest Block Party.” “Cruisin’ the Coast” is a festival celebrating classic cars and the nostalgia they invoke. It began in 1996 with only 374 registered vehicles. In 2017, that number has grown to over 8,000 cruisers from 41 states, and even Canada & Sweden have participated in Cruisin’ over the years.
Jeepin’ the Coast Annual Event
“Jeepin’ the Coast Topless” is an annual event to benefit breast cancer awareness. The ride starts at the Bay St. Louis bridge and goes all the way to the Ocean Springs bridge on the other end of the coast. Many Jeeps will then hang a U-turn to circle back to Bay St. Louis for the after-party. Funds are raised by buying shirts or simply giving what you can.
